Price, Basil Backman

Basil Backman Price, 90, of Conway, S.C., died February 24, 2007. Mr. Price was born in Montgomery County, Virginia, a son of the late Dewey Backman and Lottie Long Price.

He was a member of Christ the Servant Lutheran Church, was a U.S. Army Air Corps veteran of World War II and a retired funeral director with the W.B. Harrison Company, Lexington, Virginia. ‘

Surviving are his wife, Katherine Price of Conway; a sister-in-law, Jean Preas and her husband, Fred of Conway; a brother-in-law, Hugh DeWeese of Vancouver, Washington and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services were held February 27, 2007 at Christ the Servant Lutheran Church with entombment following at Hillcrest Mausoleum, Conway, S.C.
