PRICE, Arnold Henley

Arnold Henley Price, 73, of Blacksburg, went home to be with the Lord on Thursday, September 21, 2006. He was born in Montgomery County on January 20, 1933 to the late Cloyd P., Sr. and Maude Morehead Price.

He is survived by his wife of 55 years, Betty A. Price of Blacksburg; children and their spouses, Barbara P. and Dennis Murray of Christiansburg, Mark S. and Sara Price of Melfa, Va., Sharon P. and Les Goff of Christiansburg, Matthew A. and Michelle Price of Hiwassee, Va.; grandchildren, Bill Lester and wife Anna, Josh and Shane Price, Jared and Ethan Goff, Amanda and Chuck Price; great-granddaughter expected in December, Nora Marie Lester; sisters, Virginia (Sis) Absher of Blacksburg, Margaret Smith of Radford; sisters-in-law, Sylvia Price and Nora Price, both of Blacksburg; extended family, Roberta Saunders, Wayne Slusser, Palmer and Rocky Price, Glen Thomas and Roger Moore; numerous other nieces and nephews and other relatives.

Funeral services will be conducted Saturday, September 23, 2006 at 11 a.m. at Gateway Baptist Church with the Rev. Dewey O. Weaver, Jr. and the Rev. Mike Vest officiating. Interment will follow in Roselawn Memorial Gardens, Christiansburg.

Friends may call anytime after 12 noon Friday, and the family will receive friends from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. Friday evening at the McCoy Funeral Home, 150 Country Club Drive, SW., Blacksburg.
