Allen J. Price, 76, of Radford, Va., passed away peacefully at his home on Thursday, April 30, 2009. He served in the United States Army and was a longtime employee of the Lynchburg Foundry. He is survived by his loving wife, Betty W. Price; daughter and son-in-law, Sandra P. Beasley and Steve; grandson, “the light of his life,” Danny Beasley, his wife, Ashley; and soon to be great-granddaughter. He is also survived by two brothers and sisters-in-law, Woodrow and Shirley Price, and Carlile and Gretchen Price. Also surviving are an aunt, Esther Barker; two brothers-in-law, Harvey Wade, and Howard Wade and wife, Michelle; sister-in-law, Virginia and Glenn Watson; many special nieces, nephews friends, cousins, and neighbors; extended family, Marvin, Fowler and family; and special friend, Amelia Linkous. Funeral services will be held 2 p.m. on Sunday, May 3, 2009, at DeVilbiss Funeral Home in Radford with the Rev. Jimmy Lee Price officiating. Interment will follow at Highland Memory Gardens, Dublin.
