Pratt, Virginia Barnett

Virginia Hill Pratt, 91, of Giles County, Va., went to be with the Lord on Sunday, June 18, 2023. She was a member of Hollins Road Baptist Church.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Carl V. Pratt; her parents, George and Florence Barnett; her brothers, Bobby Barnett, Jimmy Barnett, Glyn Barnett, Carol Barnett, Preston Barnett, and Roy Barnett; and her sisters, Nora Lee Lang, Mary Shrader, Elsie Stephens, Louise Barnett, and Ruth Ann Reynolds.

Surviving is her sister, Christine “Peggy” Short (Ennis); her son and daughter-in-law, Michael and Lisa Hill; stepdaughters and sons-in-law, Kathryn P. Clinefelter, Cynthia P. Filer (Ray), and Nina P. Meek (Vince); granddaughters, Kristen and Alison Hill; great-granddaughter, Sierra Hill; and a number of nieces and nephews.

The family wishes to extend a “Special Thank You” to sisters-in-law, Rita and Patsy Barnett.

The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. on Tuesday, June 27, 2023, at Oakey’s North Chapel. The Funeral Service will be held at 2 p.m. on Wednesday, June 28, 2023, at Oakey’s North Chapel. Interment will follow at Blue Ridge Memorial Gardens.
