Powers, Rose Lee

Rose Lee Powers, age 88 of Pulaski passed away Tuesday, May 5, 2015 at the Lewis-Gale Hospital-Pulaski. Born March 8, 1927 in Max Meadows she was the daughter of the late Sterling & Alice Richardson.

Her husband; Roy Earnest Powers, Sr. daughter; Margaret Powers and son-in-law; Bill Ellis also preceded her in death. Mrs. Powers was a member of the First Church of the Brethren.

She is survived by her

Son-Roy Earnest Powers, Jr. – Pulaski,

Daughters- Barbara (Steven) Humphrey – Roanoke, Betty Ellis – Pulaski.

6 Grandchildren- Teresa Powell, Connie Dalton, Ricky Ellis, Earnest Humphrey, Thomas “Tommy” Powers, Crystal “Christy” Mabry.

11 Great Grandchildren- 4 Great Great Grandchildren-

Sister- Inapha Scott – Max Meadows.

Brother Richard Richardson – Lilydale (Pulaski County)

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 am Friday at the First Church of the Brethren, Pulaski with Rev. Frank Peters officiating.

Interment will follow at the Oakwood Cemetery, Pulaski. The family will receive friends from 5:00-7:00 pm Thursday evening at the Funeral Home.
