Powers, Antoinetta (Anna)
Antoinetta (Anna) Ernestine Mary Tramonte Powers, 91, of Pulaski, died Wednesday, November 11, 2015, in the Lewis Gale Hospital Montgomery, Blacksburg. She was born in Boston, Mass., on July 1, 1924, and was the daughter of the late Ernest Tramonte and Rose DePalma Tramonte.
Anna was an active member of the Pulaski community including Pulaski Daily Bread, the Community Yard Sale, March of Dimes as well as many other charities. She attended First Presbyterian Church for many years.
She is survived by her “Dahlin” husband, Tom Powers; “Dahlin” son, Ronald E. “Ronnie” Powers; “Dahlin” daughter, Theresa “Terri” Powers and Barry Tuttle; other loving family members, brother-in-law and wife, Alan and Opal Powers; sister-in-law, Ermagine Marshall; and family in Boston, Mass.
Funeral Services will be held Friday, November 13, 2015, at 2 p.m. from the First Presbyterian Church, Pulaski, with the Rev. Melissa McNair-King officiating. Visitation will be held at the church where the family will receive friends from 1 p.m. until the service hour. Interment will follow the service in the Southwest Virginia Veterans Cemetery, Dublin.
First Presbyterian Church will be hosting a reception in the church Fellowship Hall for family and friends immediately following interment. In lieu of flowers, Anna’s family requests memorials be made to a Veterans organization of your choice. The family would like to thank the doctors and staff at Montgomery Regional Hospital for their wonderful care of Anna and for their compassion and care of her family.
