Porterfield, Elizabeth Ann (Mickey)

Elizabeth Ann (Micky) Porterfield, 63, of the Maybrook Community, Pembroke, passed away Sunday October 30, 2011, at Lewis-Gale Montgomery Hospital in Blacksburg. Born in Pearisburg, on July 2, 1948, she was a daughter of the late Noble D. and Christine Lucas Porterfield. She leaves to cherish her memory a sister and brother-in-law, Roechelle and Allen Breeding, of Maybrook; a nephew, Allen Dewey Breeding, of Maybrook; her uncle and aunts, Andrew and Yvonne Lucas, Mabel Lucas, and Lida B. Lucas, all of Newport; her special cousins, Bobby Joe and Debby Tawney, Jeanne Williams, Michelle and Cassidy Raines, Greg, Tracie and Trey Smith, all of Newport; her own special cookie maker, Virginia Ratcliffe. Micky was also survived by her family at Giles Dialysis Center, Sharon Bandy, “Charlie” Price, Erin Tate, Angel Hale, Adrienne Bradley, Donna Stafford, Cindy Lane, Donna Martin and Kimberly Yuvanavatana; and at Carilion Patient Transport, Romney Smith, Larry Lafon, Philip Hedrick, Hank Thomas, Ted Harris, Joe Broyles, Sammy Nance, Scott Stuart, and Doug Davis, Mike Evans, Mike Sowers, Chad and Amando Jessee, Jeremy Erwin, Jason Conley, Shawn Farewell, Acy and Crystal Collins, Nathan Frazier, Mark Farley, Kevin Peters, Dale Jones, Greg Frazier, Ricky Hodge, Sara Midkiff, Amelia Stevens, Catherine Mosely. The family would like to thank Dr. Trivedi, and Dr. Jon Michael Payne for their years of caring for Micky. Funeral services will be conducted Friday at 2 p.m. in the Kendall Funeral Home, 605 Snidow St., Pembroke with Pastor Eddie Kendall officiating. Burial will follow in the Lucas Cemetery at Newport with Elder Ross E. Martin, dedicating the grave.
