Frances Mary Dugan Poole, 84, of Blacksburg, and formerly of Bergen County,N.J. passed away peacefully, in her sleep, onTuesday, October 14, 2014. Her parents Alfred Dugan of Hudson County and Sally Walsh of Bergen County, New Jersey preceded Fran.

Fran was a graduate of Fort Lee High School. She was married to John Scott Poole Jr. in the iconic Waldorf Astoria Hotel in New York City in February 1950. Fran worked for the Fleming H. Revell Publishing Company, Pascack Valley High School, and the Bendix Corporation.

She is survived by her daughters, Barbara Fahey of Waxhaw, N.C. and Kyle Cooper and her fianc‚e, Jamie Milkman of Stony Point, N.Y.;her son-in-law, Jack Cooper of Harrington Park, N.J.; and her son, Scott Poole of Knoxville, Tenn.; as well as grandchildren, Curran Fahey, Mackenzie Cooper, and Hannah Poole survive her.

Fran’s daughter-in-law, Sara McCarter, loving mother of Fran’s granddaughter Hannah, was her devoted caretaker in the final years of her life.

Fran enjoyed reading, her NY Times crossword puzzles and cooking for family and friends. She had several Lhasa Apsos over the final years of her life:Bunky, Dudley, Coach, and Coco. She spoiled them all with love, affection and exquisite cuisine.

Fran will be entombed at the Madonna Mausoleum in Fort Lee, N.J. Relatives and friends are invited to a Memorial Service at a time to be determined close to the holidays.
