Joseph Norman Poissons, 73, of Dingess St. in Narrows, VA died Tuesday morning April 11, 2006 at Roanoke Memorial Hospital in Roanoke, Virginia.

Born in Franklin, New Hampshire on September 6, 1932 he was a son of the late Louis and Roseanna Beaupre Poisson. ?Joe? was a retired Master Sergeant with the US Army with over twenty years service, having served in the war in Korea and three tours in Viet Nam and also served in Germany. He was a member of the VFW and American Legion and a devoted member of Bethel Chapel Church in the Clendennin Community near Narrows.

He leaves to cherish his memory his beloved wife Helen Raymond Poissons whom he lovingly called ?the Babe,? three daughters Grace ?Chickie? Bandecchi and her husband Matthew of Peterstown, WV, Robin Burroughs of Dummer, NH, Gail Pease and her husband Alan of Peterstown, WV; two sons Wayne Skillin of Narrows, VA and Robert and his wife Linda Skillin of Narrows, VA; a sister Theresa Brake of Belmont, NH; sixteen grandchildren and thirty-one great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be conducted Friday April 14, 2006 at 2:00 PM in Bethel Chapel Church at Narrows, VA with Pastor Eddie Kendall officiating. Burial will follow in Birchlawn Burial Park in Pearisburg. The family will receive friends at the Kendall Funeral Home at 605 Snidow St. in Pembroke, Va Thursday evening from 6 to 8 PM.
