John Carson Poff, 78, of Copper Hill, a veteran of The Korean Conflict, went to be with his Lord and Savior on January 14, 2008, surrounded by his family.

He was a very special man, loved by many, a man with many talents and a master builder. Preceding him in death were his parents, Warner and Patra Poff; brother, Seth “Jo” Poff; and sister, Marie Johnson.

Surviving are his loving wife of 54 years, “Tootsie”; daughter, Patsy Snavely and Don; his grandson and greatest joy, John Edward Snavely “Eddie;” brother, David and Patsy Poff; sister, Connie and Lewis Custer; and nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, January 17, 2008, at Wood Funeral Home with the Rev. Chuck Thomas, officiating with interment in Restvale Cemetery, with graveside Military Rites by Floyd VFW #7854 and American Legion #127.
