Poff, George L.

George L. Poff, 80, of the 5100 block of Lobaugh Drive, passed away on Tuesday, November 18, 2008, in Virginia Beach, Va. A native of Cambria, Va., he was the son of the late Louis and Hattie Poff. He retired from AT&T as a Supervisor after 34 years of service. He is survived by his wife, Vina H. Poff; two daughters, Lynn Woods and husband, Robert, and Sandra Hale and husband, Chris; and a son, Steve Poff, all of Virginia Beach. He is also survived by five grandchildren, Daniel, Rachael, Lindsay, Megan and Lauren; and two greatgrandchildren. The family received friends on Thursday from 5 to 7 p.m. at HollomonBrown Funeral Home Lynnhaven Chapel. A funeral service was conducted in the funeral home chapel 11 a.m. on Friday, November 21, 2008, with the Rev. Keith Willyard officiating. The burial will be in Roselawn Cemetery in Christiansburg, Va., 11 a.m. on Monday, November 24, 2008. Condolences may be offered to the family at www.hollomon-brown.com.
