Poff, Della Jo Goad

Della Jo Goad Poff, 66 of Pearisburg went home to be with the Lord on Wednesday, November 23rd, 2016. She was born in Radford on April 25th, 1950 and was the daughter of Edith Lyon Goad and the late Lawrence T. Goad, Sr.

Della loved the outdoors and the beach, but most importantly, she loved her family. She will be deeply missed by her family and friends.

In addition to her mother, she is survived by her husband of 47 years, John W. Poff, Sr., a son, John W. Poff, Jr. and wife Karen Perkins Poff; two brothers, Lawrence Turney Goad, Jr. and wife Carolyn Waddell Goad, and Roger Allen Goad; a sister, Nina Goad McNeil Nepstad and husband Buddy; two sisters-in-law, Judy Poff Easter, and Nancy Poff Albert and husband Larry; two step-grandchildren; several nieces, nephews, cousins, and many special friends.

A celebration of life will be held Sunday, November 27th, 2016 at 2 PM at the Parrott United Methodist Church in Parrott, Virginia with Rev. Teresa Tolbert officiating. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial contributions be made to the cancer charity of your choice.
