Pitzer, Lois (Jodie) Barth

Lois Adrienne (Jodie) Barth Pitzer, 85, of Whitwell, Tenn., formerly of Shawsville Va., passed away quietly on December 28, 2013. She was born February 24, 1928 in Cleveland, Ohio to the late Thomas Andrew and Olive Perry Barth. She was preceded in death by her loving husband, Ashby M. Pitzer Jr. and her brother, Thomas A Barth Jr. Left to cherish her memory are three children, Penelope Pitzer Webster, Ashby M. Pitzer III, and Jacqueline Pitzer Morris; four grandchildren, Matthew Webster (Erica), Sarah Morris, Kyle Morris, and Sophia Morris; two great- grandchildren, Presley and Samuel Webster. She is also survived by her dear sister, Jacqueline Barth Baldwin (Ron), and many loving nieces and nephews. The memory of Jodie’s contagious laughter is sure to live on in the hearts of the people whose lives she touched. She will be greatly missed. A “celebration of life” will be held at White Memorial Methodist Church in Shawsville on Saturday, January 11, 2014 with visitation at 2 p.m. and service beginning at 3 p.m. Interment immediately following at East Hill Cemetery in Salem.
