Phipps, Melda Dalton

Melda Dalton Phipps, age 85 of Dublin passed away Thursday, March 20, 2014 in the New River Valley Medical Center. Born June 30, 1928 in Hillsville, she is the daughter of the late Harry Lee Dalton and Winnie Pauline Mabe Dalton. She was also preceded in death by sisters, Hazel Ayers and Ethylene Wilson and brother, Fred Dalton.

She was retired from RAAP with over 30 years of service. She was a member of the New River Baptist Temple.

Funeral services will be held Sunday, 2:00 p.m., March 23, 2014 in the Bower Funeral Home Chapel, Pulaski with Rev. Gary Stike officiating. Burial will follow in Highland Memory Gardens, Dublin.

The family will receive friends Saturday evening from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. at Bower Funeral Home.
