Vernie was a good loving mother and grandmother, wife and friend to many. Our home life was one where we were taught to be honest in all things and to be kind and to always do right. She made sure we learned to take care of our responsibilities and to work hard to be as good as she expected us to be. She made sure everything was as it should be, to the best of her ability. She was a care-giver to many people in her life and never complained about it. She was a friendly, warm and caring neighbor, even though she had to face many trials that were so hard.

We look at her life as an example for us to try to follow. She will be so very missed by all of her family, it is difficult to imagine her not being here with us, to call and talk to anytime we wish. Our memories will comfort us, and the knowledge that she is with God and her loved ones already gone on before. We will look forward also to being with them again when God calls us. We will strive to be worthy, also.

Funeral Services will be held 10:00 Monday November 15, 2010 at Maberry Funeral Home, officiated by Pastor Roy Turpin and Rev. Vinton Quesenberry. Interment will follow at Big Sand Cemetery. Family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. Sunday November 14, 2010 at the Funeral Home.
