Phillips Sr., Arnold Davis

Arnold Davis Phillips Sr., 71, passed away on Wednesday, May 19, 2010, at his home in Christiansburg, Va. He was retired from Lynchburg Foundry after 32 years of service and was currently employed at New River Recycling. He was a United States Air Force veteran. Survivors include his wife of 52 years, Sandra Weaver Phillips, of Christiansburg; three sons and daughtersin-law, Bobby and Tanya Phillips, of Christiansburg, Greg and Melissa Phillips, of Riner, and Arnold Phillips Jr., of Floyd; two daughters, Sherry Phillips, of Christiansburg, and Sandy Phillips, of Floyd; and nine grandchildren, April, David, Kim, Stevie, Amber, Molly, Robbie, Ashley, and Bradi. Funeral services will be held 2 p.m. on Sunday, May 23, 2010, at the Mullins Funeral Home in Radford with the Rev. Ersell Alderman officiating. Interment will follow in the Haley Cemetery in Pulaski County. The family will receive friends on Saturday evening, May 22, 2010, from 6 until 8 p.m. at the funeral home.
