Phillips, Robert (Larry)

Robert (Larry) Phillips, 68, of Radford, Va., went to be with the Lord on Thursday, September 16, 2010. He was a semi-retired minister at The Radford Church of Christ with over 31 years of service there and 46 years total service in the ministry. Survivors include his wife of 45 years, Shirley Faye Gower Phillips, of Radford; a son and daughterin-law, William Troy and Stephanie L. Phillips, of Dublin; a daughter and sonin-law, Laura Elizabeth and John P. Croft, of Radford; two grandsons, William Wyatt and James Conner Phillips; and an aunt, Gertrude Goolsby of Huntsville, Ala.; and a host of other family and friends. Funeral services will be held Sunday, September 19, 2010, at 3 p.m. at the The Radford Church of Christ with Mr. Rudolph Shelburne and Mr. Dennis Curd officiating. Interment will follow at the Indian Creek Church Cemetery in Indian Valley. The family will receive friends from 3 until 6 p.m. Saturday at the church building.
