Phillips, Julie Price

Julie Margaret (Judy) Price Phillips, 71, of Blacksburg, died Saturday, October 24, 2009 at Heritage Hall Health Care. She was born in Montgomery County, Virginia on August 22, 1938.

She was preceded in death by her husbands, Jerry Wyatt Phillips and Marvin Larry Vaught, father, Clarence William Price, Sr., brother, Floyd Price, and granddaughter, Jessica Hope Vaught.

She is survived by her daughter, Rena Richmond and fiance, John Carter, of Randleman, N.C.; son and daughter-in-law, Dale and Toni Vaught, of Newport; mother, Evelyn Smith Price, of Blacksburg; two brothers and sisters-in-law, Clarence William, Jr. and Shirley Price, of Blacksburg, Jimmy and Betty Price, of Sylvatus, Va.; ten grandchildren, Dale Vaught, Justin Vaught, Geoffrey Vaught, Dominic Bari, Mikey Price, Matthew Price, Jennifer Radford, Jason Cragett, Serena Richmond, and Zachary Richmond; five great-grandchildren, Zachary Leggett, Alexis Price, Olivia Vaught, Jeffrey and Troy Radford.

Funeral services will be conducted Tuesday, October 27, 2009 at 2 p.m. in the McCoy Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Jimmie Lee Price officiating. Interment will follow in the Indian Creek Cemetery, Indian Valley Road, Floyd.

Friends may call anytime after 12 noon and the family will receive friend from 6 to 8 p.m. Monday evening at the McCoy Funeral Home, 150 Country Club Drive SW, Blacksburg.
