Phillips, Ersie Akers

Ersie Akers Phillips, 92, of Floyd, passed away Saturday January 6, 2007.

She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Wayne and Gay Phillips; grandchildren, Sammy Phillips and wife Marsha, Tonya Hicks; great-grandchildren Samantha Phillips, Brandon Reed, Randy Reed, Austin Reed, Destiny Hicks; sweet nieces Ilectris Linkous, Goldie Sutton; and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Tuesday, January 9, 2007 at the Maberry Funeral Home Chapel, Floyd, with Rev. Murrell Hedrick officiating. Interment will follow at Big Sand Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 5 to 7 p.m. Monday January 8, 2007 at Maberry Funeral Home.
