Phillips, Edwin Dale

Edwin Dale Phillips, 58, of Willis, Va., passed away Saturday, May 22, 2010, at his home. He was preceded in death by his loving father, Cobern Dale Phillips and a special niece, Jessica Shantel Phillips.

He is survived by a special daughter, Tonda Phillips, of Mount Airy, N.C. and her sister, Tina Leonard; his loving mother, Ethel “Agnes” Phillips, of Indian Valley; a special person in his life whom he loved very much, Alledia Hess, of Cana, Va.; brothers, Barry Phillips and wife, Belinda, Randy Phillips and Judy; sisters, Diane Owens and husband, Freddie, and Becky Gregg and husband, Tony; several nieces, nephews, aunts and uncles and a host of friends.

Funeral Services will be held 11 a.m. Friday, May 28, 2010, at Maberry Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Joe Cox and Mr. Blake Griffith officiating. Interment to follow in the Showalter Cemetery, in Indian Valley. Family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday, May 27, 2010, at the Funeral Home.
