Phillips, Callie O’Dell

Callie O’Dell Phillips, age 97 of Draper departed this life to be with her heavenly Father, Thursday, July 19, 2012. She was born February 3, 1915 in Pulaski County where she lived out her 97 years.

She was the daughter of the late Samuel O’Dell and Mellie Agnes Taylor O’Dell. Her husband, Randolph Barton “Pat” Phillips; her brother, Arlie Thomas O’Dell; & three Sisters, Lattie Bell Phillips and Thelma Dishon and Katherine Lewis also preceded her in death.

Left to cherish her memory- Sons and Daughters-in-law- Dalford and Daphne Phillips-Draper Samuel and Bonnie Phillips- Christiansburg. Linda Phillips of Draper, who was also her devoted caretaker & of whom she always thought of as a daughter. Sister- Sammie Dalton-Draper Grandchildren- Terrence, Cliff and Patrick Phillips- all of Draper 3 Step Grandchildren 14 Great Grandchildren Numerous nieces, nephews and friends

Callie was a dedicated member of the New Bethel Primitive Baptist Church and loved her church family. Although she loved the beauty of flowers, donations to the church in her memory would be appreciated. New Bethel Primitive Baptist Church 4115 Old Baltimore Road, Draper, VA. 24324

Funeral services will be held Sunday 2:00 p.m. in the Bower Funeral Home Chapel, Pulaski with Elder Melvin McGrady and Elder Rubin Hawks officiating. Interment will follow in Highland Memory Gardens, Dublin. The family will receive friends Saturday evening from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Bower Funeral Home, Pulaski.
