Petty, Pete Alex

Pete Alex Petty, 50, of Pulaski, died early Sunday morning, September 3, 2006, in the Pulaski Community Hospital. He was born in Pulaski on April 29, 1956. Mr. Petty was preceded in death by a brother, Charles Buford Petty.

Surviving are parents Buford and Alberta Turner Petty of Pulaski; son and fiance James Alex Petty, Sr. and Mallory Nicole Brown of Sumpter, NC; grandson James Alex Petty of Sumpter, NC; sisters and brother ? in ? law Barbara Petty of Pulaski and Ruth and Charles Taylor of Pulaski; brothers and sisters ? in ? law Mickey and Bertha Petty of Pulaski and Mike and Vicky Petty of Draper; and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held Thursday, September 7, 2006 at 2 p.m. from Stevens Funeral Chapel with Mary Morris officiating. Burial will follow in Ray Cemetery, Pulaski County. Visiting will be Wednesday from Stevens Funeral Home where the family will receive friends from 6 until 8 p.m. The family will also receive friends at any other time at the home of Mr. Petty’s parents, 4656 Brookmont Rd., Pulaski.

The family has requested that, in lieu of flowers, donations would be appreciated for funeral expenses and sent to Stevens Funeral Home.
