Petty, Alberta Virginia

Alberta Virginia Turner Petty, age 79 of Brookmont Road, Pulaski passed away Friday, April 4, 2008 at the Pulaski Community Hospital.

Born June 20, 1928, in Pulaski, Virginia, she was the daughter of the late Charlie Jackson Turner and Betty Ray Jones Turner. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two sons, Charles Buford Petty, Pete Alex Petty; two sisters, Helen Warden and Annie Gregory; and two brothers, Ralph Turner and C.J. Turner and one Son-in-law, Doug Taylor.

She was retired from Jefferson Mills with over 17 years of service. She attended the Pulaski Christian Church.

Her Husband of 65 years- Buford Petty- Pulaski

Two Daughters- Barbara S. Petty-Pulaski Ruth M. Taylor and Fiance, Larry Gallimore-Pulaski,

Sons and Daughters-in-law- Mike A. and Vicky Petty-Draper Mickey E. and Bertha Petty-Pulaski,

Ten Grandchildren- Seventeen Great Grandchildren- Four Great Great Grandchildren-

Sister and Brother-in-law- Rosa and Guy Mooney- Pulaski,

Special friends of the family- Eva Imogene Davis Freddie Bell

Her Grandsons will serve as Pallbearers- Buck Wade, Paul Petty, Bobby Petty, Jamie Petty, Robert Petty and Dean Petty.

Funeral services will be conducted Monday 2:00 P.M. at Pulaski Christian Church, Brookmont Road, Pulaski with Pastor David Hoover officiating. Interment will follow in the Ray Cemetery where her Grandsons will serve as pallbearers.

The family will receive friends Monday from 1:00 P.M. until service hour at the church.
