Petty, Alberta Virginia Turner

Alberta Virginia Turner Petty, age 79, of Brookmont Road, Pulaski, passed away Friday, April 4, 2008 at the Pulaski Community Hospital.
Born June 20, 1928, in Pulaski, Virginia, she was the daughter of the late Charlie Jackson Turner and Betty Ray Jones Turner.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two sons, Charles Buford Petty, Pete Alex Petty; two sisters, Helen Warden and Annie Gregory; and two brothers, Ralph Turner and C.J. Turner and one son-in-law, Doug Taylor.

She was retired from Jefferson Mills with over 17 years of service. She attended the Pulaski Christian Church.

Surviving are: her husband of 65 years, Buford Petty, Pulaski; two daughters, Barbara S. Petty, Pulaski; Ruth M. Taylor and fiancee, Larry Gallimore, Pulaski; sons and daughters-in-law, Mike A. and Vicky Petty, Draper; Mickey E. and Bertha Petty, Pulaski; ten grandchildren; seventeen great grandchildren; four great great- grandchildren; sister and brother-in-law, Rosa and Guy Mooney, Pulaski; special friends of the family, Eva Imogene Davis and Freddie Bell.

Funeral services will be conducted Monday 2:00 P.M. at Pulaski Christian Church, Brookmont Road, Pulaski with Pastor David Hoover officiating. Interment will follow in the Ray Cemetery where her Grandsons will serve as pallbearers. The family will receive friends Monday from 1:00 P.M. until service hour at the church.
