Pettus, Donald Lee

Donald Lee Pettus, 64, of Elliston, went to be with the Lord on Sunday June 10, 2007. He was preceded in death by his father Frank Pettus; his grandparents, Ernest and Edith Yates and Harvey and Willie Pettus; and brothers, Paul and Curtis Pettus.

He is survived by his mother, Frances Pettus of Shawsville; his wife of 41 years, Brenda Pettus; daughter, Rhonda Settles and husband Jimbob of Shawsville; grandchildren D.J. and Reva Settles that he loved very much; brothers, Odell and wife Linda of Shawsville, and Kenneth and wife Deannie of Elliston; sisters, Barbara of N.C. and Becky of Shawsville; and numerous nieces and nephews. He will be missed very much by all that loved him.

A funeral service will be conducted on Wednesday, June 13, 2007 at 11 a.m. at Elliston Church of God with Pastor Wayne L. Powell and the Rev. Randolph Woolwine officiating. Interment will follow in Piedmont Cemetery. The family will receive friends Tuesday, June 12, 2007 from 6 to 8 p.m. at Elliston Church of God.
