Peterson, S. Thomas

S. Thomas (Tom) Peterson, 71, of Cecils Chapel Road, Pulaski County, died on Thursday, August 23, 2007 while working at his farm.

He was born on February 15, 1936 in Pulaski County and was the son of the late Mabel Chumbley Peterson and Shirley Mitchell Peterson. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers, James and Donald Peterson; and a sister, Sue Peterson Conrad.

He is survived by his wife, Glenna Shelton Peterson; one son, Michael Thomas Peterson and his wife, Sylvie ,of Vinton; two brothers, Robert Peterson and his wife, Mary, of Pulaski and Gary Peterson and his wife, Shirley, of Hiwassee; two sisters, Jane Morris and Nancy Bond and her husband, Lester, both of Hiwassee. She is also survived by two grandchildren, Melissa and Danielle Austin.

Funeral services will be held on Sunday, August 26, 2007 at 2 p.m. at Cecil’s Chapel United Methodist Church with the Rev. Bryan Wyke officiating. Interment will follow in the Cecils Chapel Cemetery. Visiting will be anytime Saturday, August 25, 2007 after 5 p.m. at Thomas M. Seagle & Sons where the family will receive friends from 6 until 8 p.m.
