Vennie Board Peters, 81, of Floyd, passed away Thursday, August 24, 2006.

Survivors include her husband, George Harris Peters, Floyd; son and daughter-in-law, Donald and Roseanna Peters, Floyd; grandchildren, Stacie Smith and husband Larry, Floyd, Sean Peters, Christiansburg; great-granddaughter, Kaitlynn Peters; stepgreatgranddaughter, Amanda Smith; stepgreat-grandson, Larry Ray Smith; sister, Evie Wilson, Check.

Funeral services will be 4 p.m. Sunday, August 27, 2006 at Calvary Baptist Church with the Rev. Graham Mitchell officiating. Interment will follow in the Vest Cemetery. Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Saturday at Maberry Funeral Home, Floyd.
