Perry, Harvey Patrick

Harvey Patrick Perry, 93, of Dublin, passed away Saturday, June 20, 2009, while visiting the Eastern Shore of Virginia. He was born in East Rutherford, N.J. on Saint Patrick’s Day 1916 and had the keen ability to spot a four leaf clover.

A machinist, working for Air Craft Engineering, he retired at age 69, moving to Dublin from Toms River, N.J. He enjoyed boating and fishing on the Barnegat Bay in N.J.

He was preceded in death by his wife of 57 years, May Charlotte Barham Perry and two sons, Richard Harvey Perry and Robert Nelson Perry, and by five brothers and two sisters. Survivors include a son and daughter-in-law, Michael and Carole Perry, Dublin, Va.; daughter and son-in-law, Ruthann and Stanley Podchaski, Cranbury, N.J.; grandchildren, Brian Perry, Ocean City, N.J. and Kelly Perry Hall, Newbern, Va.; six great-grandchildren; a sister, Alice Cook, Lodi, N.J.; and nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be Thursday July 9, 2009 from the Dublin Presbyterian Church, Church Street, Dublin, from 6 until 7 p.m., with a memorial service at 7p.m.
