Perkins, Steven Darnell

Steven Darnell “Perk Dog” Perkins, 27, of Elliston and formerly Route 100 in Pulaski, passed away Thursday, Oct. 20, 2005. He was born on January 4, 1978 in Pulaski, and was the son of Phillip Wayne Perkins and Catherine “Jane” Dalton Perkins.

He was a 1996 graduate of Pulaski County High School and was an employee of Big Spring Mills in Elliston.

He was preceded in death by his paternal grandfather, Vernon Eugene Perkins. Surviving are: his children, Dakota Allen Perkins and Devin Wayne Perkins: fiancé, Shelly Farmer of Elliston; parents, Phillip Wayne Perkins and Catherine “Jane” Dalton Perkins of Pulaski; a brother, Danny Ray Perkins of Pulaski; a half brother, Roy Wayne Perkins and his wife, Stephanie of Rocky Mount, Va; grandmothers, Ruby T. Dalton of Pulaski and Nadine Perkins of Pearisburg; grandfather, Harlen Chesley Dalton of Dublin; nieces, Rebecca Lynn Perkins, Ariel Roxanne and Ashley Renee Perkins; nephew, Wesley Dillon Perkins.

Funeral services will be conducted on Monday at 1 p.m. at Bower Funeral Chapel, Pulaski with Rev. Barbara Wilson officiating. Burial will follow at Highland Memory Gardens, Dublin. The family will receive friends Monday from 12 noon until service time at the funeral home.
