Perkins, Lillian Margaret

Lillian Margaret Perkins, 93, of Pearisburg, departed this life Thursday morning, February 14, 2019 in the care of Heritage Hall in Rich Creek, VA. Born on November 4, 1925 in Narrows, she was a daughter of the late Dewey Shannon and Agnes Chewning Reynolds.

She attended Mt. View United Methodist Church and was retired from thirty-one years of nursing service at Giles Memorial Hospital.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband John S Perkins, her sons Buford Nelson, Wayne Nelson, and Sherman Nelson, her granddaughter Angela Carmella Lucas; her sister Lorraine Walters and her brothers Junior, Herbert, Floyd, and Arnold Reynolds.

Left to cherish her memory are a granddaughter Tammy and husband Barry Davis; six great-grandchildren; six great-great-grandchildren; her sisters Marie Holt and husband Ed and Bula Walters all of Pearisburg; several nieces and nephews; and a host of friends.

Funeral services will be conducted Sunday, February 17, 2019 at 2:00 pm in the Kendall Funeral Home, 605 Snidow St., Pembroke, with Pastors Charlie Henderson and Eddie Kendall officiating. Burial will follow in the Anderson-Mt View Cemetery on Guinea Mt. The family will receive friends at the funeral home one hour before the services.
