Perfater, Jessie Morris

Jessie Morris “Paw” Perfater, Sr., 78 of Blacksburg, VA, died on Tuesday, November 3, 2020 at Lewis Gale-Montgomery Hospital. He was born in Blacksburg, VA on December 23, 1941 to the late Dewey Albert and Elizabeth Linkous Perfater, and was also preceded in death by his wife Betty Ritter Perfater; brother-in-law, Dale Womack; a grandson, Gary A. Bland.

Jessie loved life and his family. He wasn’t only “Paw” to his family he was “Paw” to so many more. He made such a large impact on so many lives. There is nothing he loved more than hunting and working with his horses along side his family. He will be forever missed by all his loved ones. Dad, we miss you and you will never be forgotten. Please give momma a hug for us.

He is survived by his sister Diane Perfater Womack; two daughters and sons-in-law, Dana and John Kirtner, Laura and Ron Collins; two sons and a daughter-in-law, Jessie M. Perfater, Jr. , Nelson and Jan Perfater; grandchildren, Derek Bland and Casey, Jessica Perfater and sisters Jordan and Jasmine, Deidre and Lucas Graham, Jeremy Perfater, Allison Perfater, Brandon Collins, Meghan Perfater, Courtney Perfater and Colson Carter; great-grandchildren, Alyssa Bland, Aubree Bland, Wyatt Bland, Isabella Perfater, Bryson Graham; and many nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be conducted at 2 pm on Friday, November 6, 2020 at Roselawn Memorial Gardens with Pastor Richard Hall officiating. In lieu of flowers a memorial contribution may be made to St. Jude Children’s Hospital or Hunters for the Hungry, 1108 Sedalia School Rd. Big Island, VA 24526.
