Perfater, Betty Craighead

Betty Craighead Perfater, age 80, of Lafayette died Monday, January 18,2021, in her home, She was born in Ironto, Virginia on October 10, 1940 to the late George Washington and Della Elizabeth Woods Craighead. She was also preceded in death by her husband C. Milton Perfater.

She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Robin and Dale Akers, of Elliston; sister and brother-in-law, Edith and Ray Epperly of Christiansburg; grandchildren, Joshua Akers and wife, Shelly, Caleb Akers and wife, Miriam, Aaron Akers, Jonathan Akers; great grandchildren, Annabelle Akers, Gabriella Clausen, Jase Akers.

Funeral services will be held Friday, January 22, 2021 at 10:00 am in the McCoy Funeral Home Chapel. Internment will follow in Roselawn Memorial Gardens.

In lieu of flowers a memorial contribution may be made to the American Cancer Society.
