Perdue, Viola Meadows

Viola Meadows Perdue, 93 of Narrows, passed away Thursday, May 19th, 2016. She was born in Mercer County, West Virginia on February 27th, 1923, and was the daughter of the late Euva Meadows.

In addition to her mother, she was preceded in death by her husband of nearly 50 years, Fred Lawrence Perdue; two infant children, Wanda Kathleen Perdue and Freddie Lawrence Perdue; a daughter, Brenda M. Thomas; and son, Donald J. Perdue.

Left to cherish her memory are two granddaughters, Shaun Holdren and husband Hobie, and Crystal Blake and husband Chris, all of Oakvale; two grandsons, Dean Robertson of Pearisburg, and Johnny Perdue and wife Jeanette of Oakvale; seven great-grandchildren, Samantha Robertson, Ashley Rogers, Jason Holdren, Sarah Holdren, Kristen Perdue, Ashley Blake and Rayen Blake; several nieces, nephews and cousins.

A graveside service will be held Sunday, May 22nd, 2016 at 2 PM at Sunrise Memorial Gardens in Rich Creek with Rev. Bill Crawford officiating. At Viola’s request, there will be no visitation or viewing.
