Perdue, Matthew Edward

Matthew Edward Perdue, 40, of Narrows, VA, went to be with the Lord on Saturday, April 29, 2023. Matt was born on March 6, 1983, in Blacksburg, VA and was a son of Carol Jean Orey of Narrows and the late Edward Riley Perdue. Besides his father, he was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Junior and Ruth Orey and his paternal grandparents, Jack Perdue and Lena Buckland and a special cousin, Joey Blankenship.

Matt attended Narrows High School, Class of 2001 and attended New River Community Collage as a certified welder. The greatest joy of his life was his daughter. He also enjoyed watching football, basketball and had a verity friends.

He is survived his mother, Carol Jean Orey of Narrows, his daughter, Emma Rose Perdue of Narrows, his special friend, Lindsey Seymour of Narrows, 3 aunts, Patricia Riddle (Lawrence) of Narrows, Kathy Meredith of Bear Springs, Lisa Beaver (Billy) of Afton Mtn. and many cousins and friends.

A memorial service will be held Saturday, May 6, 2023, at 2pm at New Village Pentecostal Church in Staffordsville, VA with Pastor Kathy Higgs officiating.
