Perdue, Joseph Allen

Joseph Allen Perdue, 45, of Curve Road, Pearisburg, Va., departed this life on Thursday evening, October 25, 2007 at his home in the loving care of his family. Born in Giles County on March 14, 1962, he is a son of the late Arvin Edward and Ruby Hetherington Perdue.

He had been employed as a dispatcher for Marshall Concrete.

He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Roger Perdue. He leaves to cherish his memory his wife, Mary Eaton Perdue; a son, Michael Perdue and wife, Valerie, of Pearisburg; three stepsons, Jamie Whitt and wife, Jessie, of South Carolina, Jason Cumbee of Pearisburg and Jody Cumbee and wife, April, of Narrows; a brother, Earl Dwight and wife, Ola Perdue, of Dublin; a sister, Amanda Cheryl Meadows and husband, Eldon, of Narrows; eight grandchildren, Tyler Perdue, Caitlin Perdue, Nicole Whitt, Chad Dalton, Cortney Cumbee, Zachary Cumbee, Jacob Cumbee and Chance Cumbee; and special little friends, Jessica Steward and Nathaniel Meadows.

Funeral services will be conducted on Monday, October 29, 2007 at 2 p.m. in the Kendall Funeral Home at 605 Snidow St. in Pembroke with burial following in Birchlawn Burial Park in Pearisburg.
