Gary Clay Perdue, 54, of Ellett passed away with cancer Tuesday, May 6, 2014, at his home. He was born in Christiansburg on March 12, 1960. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Atlee and Ruby Cupp Frazier and Shorty and Margie Morehead Perdue, aunts, Charlsie Smith, Shirley Womack, uncles, Gale Perdue and Raymond Perdue, cousins, Tina Vaden, Jennifer Woodyard, Kevin Smith, Raymond “Porky” Frazier. He is survived by his parents, Glenn C. and Frances Lee Frazier Perdue, of Ellett, special aunt and uncle, Butch and Carolyn Alls, Jake and Madeline Frazier, all of Prices Fork, Linda and Lonnie Vaden, Mt. Tabor, Lucy Cox, Christiansburg, special aunt, Margaret Perdue Roark, special friends, Kim Roark, both of Blacksburg, Hattie Sue and David Dove, Bunny Perdue, all of Christiansburg, Clyde and Dorothy Perdue, Pembroke, special cousins, Todd Alls, Rodney Perdue, Jerry and Leigh Perdue, Greg Perdue, and other numerous cousins and other relatives, special friends, Debbie Lowe, Blacksburg, Donna Price, Ellett, Gaines Walls, Prices Fork. The family would like to give thanks to Carilion Hospice and Staff, Dixie, Debbie, Sharon and Teresa for their wonderful care during Gary’s illness. Funeral services will be conducted Friday, May 9, 2014 at 2:00 pm in the McCoy Funeral Home Chapel with the Pastor William McMahan and David McMahan officiating. Interment will follow in the Northfork Baptist Church Cemetery, Ellett. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the Blacksburg Fire Dept. 407 Hubbard St. Blacksburg, Va. 24060 or to the Blacksburg Rescue Squad 200 Progress St. NE, Blacksburg, Va. 24060. The family will receive friends from 6-8 pm Thursday evening at the McCoy Funeral Home, 150 Country Club Dr. SW, Blacksburg.
