Perdue, Flora Elizabeth Hughes
Flora Elizabeth Hughes Perdue, 66, of Narrows, went home to be with her Savior, surrounded by her loving family on Sunday, May 13, 2007 at her home.
A lifelong resident of Giles County, she was born on October 31, 1940 and was the daughter of the late Clayburn Wilson Hughes and Janatta Irene Hughes. In addition to her mother and father, she was preceded in death by her husband, James William (Jake) Perdue; a daughter, Melissa Dawn Breeding; a sister, Vallery Mullins; and a brother-in-law, Ray Blankenship. She was a member of the Conley Hollow Community Church.
She is survived by one son, Junior Perdue and wife Robin of Narrows; two daughters and their husbands, Theresa and Herman Breeding of Rich Creek, and Michelle and Keith Kinder of Narrows; eight grandchildren, one great-granddaughter; two brothers, Douglas and Mary Hughes, and Joe and Tina Hughes; a sister, Patty Blankenship, all of Narrows; a brother-in-law, Jimmy Mullins of Pearisburg; three aunts and one uncle; and a host of nieces, nephews and all her friends and neighbors. She will be dearly missed by all.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday, May 16, 2007 at 2 p.m. in the Chapel of Riffe’s Funeral Service in Narrows with Pastor Tony Robertson officiating. Burial will follow in the Conley Hollow Cemetery on Wolf Creek.
