Perdue, Edith Smith

Edith S. Perdue, age 92, of Mt. Airy, NC, formerly of Blacksburg, VA passed away peacefully in her sleep on Friday, January 23, 2015. She is preceded in death by her husband, Warren Black Perdue, her parents, Emory and Mae Smith, her sister, Berniece Hardy, her brother, Lenvel Smith; and her son-in-law, Roger Quesenberry.

She is survived by her sons, Arnold (Wayne) and Kathy Perdue, Danny Perdue; her daughters, Louise (Lou) Quesenberry, Linda and Tommy Hamlin; her sister, Dorothy Griffin; 10 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild.

Funeral services will be conducted Tuesday, January 27, 2015 at 11:00 am at the Walton Pentecostal Holiness Church, Walton, VA with Pastor Lee Sarver and Pastor Jordan Meyers officiating. Interment will follow in the Westview Cemetery.

The family will receive friends Tuesday prior to the service from 10:00 am until service time at the church. Arrangements by McCoy Funeral Home, Blacksburg.
