Peoples, Clarence Robert

Clarence “Bob” Robert Peoples, 88, of Pearisburg, went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, September 13, 2016 at Lewis Gale Hospital – Montgomery. He was born September 26, 1927 at Pulaski, VA, the son of the late Joseph Larkin & Signora Barner Hill Peoples. He was a hard worker and loved the outdoors.

Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Mollie Mary Parks Peoples and his brothers, George, Ralph, Garnett, Edward & Ollie Peoples.

Left to cherish his memory is his son & former daughter-in-law, Thomas Anthony Peoples & Ramona Jean Peoples; his step-children, Doris Shipman and Dan Parks; his grandchildren, Tony & Michael Peoples; his step-grandchildren, Patricia Goins, Adonna Summers, Anthony Shipman, James Summers and Romona Shipman; his brother, Tommy Peoples; his sister, Sarah Redd; special friend, Lonnie Freeman; and a host of nieces, nephews and friends.

Funeral services will be held Friday, September 16, 2016 at 1:00 P.M. at A. Vest & Sons Funeral Home, White Gate, with Rev. Keith Linkous officiating. Burial will follow at the Peoples Family Cemetery, White Gate. The family will receive friends from 12:00 P.M. until service time, 1:00 P.M.
