T.J. Pennington, 86, of Rich Creek, Va., flew into the arms of Jesus to start his new Eternal Life in Heaven, Friday, January 16, 2009, in Bradenton, Florida. He was born February 13, 1922, in Peterstown, W.Va., and was the son of the late Obed A. and Earsel M. Dunn Pennington. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Avis Craft.

Mr. Pennington was a member of the Princeton Church of God, Princeton, W.Va., was retired owner of Pennington’s Town Country Furniture Galleries in Rich Creek, Va. and was member of the John Dove Lodge #78 A.F. and A.M for over 50 years.

He is survived by the love of his life, his wife of 68 years, Thelma Allen Pennington; one son, Darrell Pennington and wife, Hallie Pettrey Pennington, of Rich Creek, Va.; two daughters, Shirley Osborne and husband, Bob, of Princeton, W.Va., and Mary Stephens, of Pearisburg, Va.; one brother, Arnold Pennington and wife, Freda Keatley Pennington, of Rich Creek, Va.; one sister, Gayla Hoel, of Virginia Beach, Va.; one grandson, Michael Pennington and wife, Tammy Hoffman Pennington; and two greatgrandchildren, Sydni and Emileigh Pennington, all of Dublin Va.; several nieces and nephews; and a special buddy, Dorsey Bradley, of Rich Creek, Va.

The family will receive friends at the home of Dorsey Bradley at 103 North Street, Rich Creek, Va.
