Pendry, Orville Monroe

Orville Monroe Pendry was born and reared in Elliston, Va. He was 81 years old. He passed away Thursday, May 25, 2017. He was preceded in death by his wife, Lois Jean Pendry; his parents, Ruth and Orley Pendry; a sister, Dorothy Perdue.

Surviving are daughters and sons-in-law; Sandy and Dale Graham, Sharon and Timothy Nuckles; a sister, Margie Travis; grandchildren, Christopher Nuckles, Brandon Nuckles and Sheila Boyd; also seven great grandchildren; a special friend, Mildred Spangler.

Mr. Pendry owned his own construction business for years.

Funeral services will be conducted 1:00 p.m. Saturday, May 27, 2017 at Lotz Chapel in Salem with Rev. Steve Parker and Rev. Tim Nuckles officiating. Interment will follow in Lafayette Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday, May 26, 2017 at the funeral home.
