Peery, Fred

Fred Peery, 63, of Blacksburg, died Monday, June 18, 2007, at his home.

He was born in Hot Springs, Va. on May 12, 1944 to the late Ralph Stuart, Sr. and Hester Anderson Peery. He was preceded in death by a brother Leonard Peery. Fred was the manager of Sub Station II, in Blacksburg for 22 years.

He is survived by his son, Stuart Duncan Peery Jamison of Lynchburg; sister and brother-in-law, Linda P. and Lynn Grimes of Dunmore, W.Va.; brother and sister in-law, Ralph Stuart, Jr. and Wanda Peery of Hot Springs, Va.; grandchild, Sterling Jamison of Roanoke; numerous nieces and nephews; and a very special friend, Hazel M. Cumbee of Pembroke.

Fred’s wishes were to be cremated with no services. Arrangements by McCoy Funeral Home, Blacksburg.
