Pearman, Beatrice Barnett

Beatrice Barnett Pearman, 83, of Prices Fork, Va. died on Tuesday, October 9, 2007 at her home. She was born in Montgomery County on March 11, 1924 to the late Tosh Evans and Bertha Lou Sheppard Barnett.

She was also preceded in death by her husband, James Delmar Pearman, Sr.; a son-in-law, Gary Bishop; brothers, Edward T. Barnett and Archie A. Barnett; sisters, Clara Belle Pearman and Verna Mae Noonkester; grandson, James Anthony Pearman; and twin granddaughters, Martha and Margaret Bishop.

She was a longtime faithful member of Prices Fork United Methodist Church.

She is survived by her two daughters and son-in-law, Cheryll P. and L.T. Simmons of Christiansburg and Scarlet P. Bishop of Prices Fork; son and daughter-in-law, James D., Jr. and Sandra Pearman of Fairlawn; brother and sister-in-law, Melvin V. and Rubel Barnett of Prices Fork; three grandchildren, James C. (Chris) Bishop and wife, Karen, Karey Gray and husband, Dean, and Sarah Elizabeth Pearman; two great-grandchildren, Justin and Kelsey Bishop; and numerous nieces, nephews, and other relatives.

Funeral services will be conducted on Thursday, October 11, 2007 at 2 p.m. in the Prices Fork United Methodist Church with Dr. Stan Thompson officiating. Interment will follow in the Snider Cemetery, Prices Fork. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Prices Fork United Methodist Church, c/o Rita Sullivan, 3365 McCoy Road, Blacksburg, Va. 24060.

Friends may call anytime after 12 Noon on Wednesday, October 10, 2007 and the family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday evening at the McCoy Funeral Home 150 Country Club Drive SW, Blacksburg, Va.
