Payne, Ethel Cox

Ethel Cox Payne, 106, of Pulaski, passed away Saturday, November 15, 2015. She was born September 18 , 1909 in West, to the late Emmaline Goins Cox. She was preceded in death by her husband, Frank D. Payne Jr., a brother, and two sisters.

Survivors include her children, Frank Daniel Lee Payne III, Ethel “Peggy” Slaughter, James (Nelda) Payne, Rosemma (Everett) Grubb, and Henry (Karen) Payne; 21 grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren; and 18 great-great- grandchildren; two great-great-great-grandchildren; one sister-in-law, Cora Martin; Naomi Davison who was like a daughter; and a host of nieces; nephews; other relatives and friends.

A Funeral Service will be held 1 p.m. Wednesday, November 18, 2015 at Spirit of Life Worship Center, Pulaski. Interment will follow in Pinehurst Cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service. Friends may call at Serenity, 248 Randolph Avenue for viewing 5 to 8 p.m. on Tuesday, November 17, 2015.
