Payne, Danny Ray

Danny Ray Payne, 44, of Max Meadows, passed away Sunday, March 25, 2007 at Wythe County Community Hospital. He was born September 15, 1962 in Pulaski, Virginia. He was preceded in death by his mother, Betty DeHart Payne; grandparents, Rev. Harless H. and Virgie Peak DeHart, Herman Luther and Rosella Tate Payne.

He is survived by his father, Daniel Ray Payne of Max Meadows, Va.; one sister and brother-in-law, Sandra and Fred L. Williams III of Blountville, Tenn.; one brother and sister-in-law, Douglas W. and Evelyn M. Payne of Ft. Chiswell, Va.; two nieces , Samantha P. Huff of Wytheville, Va., Amanda D. Williams; nephew, Lee Williams both of Blountville, Tenn.; two great-nieces, Morgan Faith Houchins, Nicole Amber Huff. Many close friends also survive.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday, March 28, 2007 at 3:30 p.m. at St. Paul Pentecostal Holiness Church with the Rev. Howard Riley and the Rev. Tony Hodge officiating. Interment will follow in Draper Valley Pentecostal Holiness Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends Tuesday from 6 to 8 p.m. at the Reese Funeral Home. Mr. Payne will be taken to the church Wednesday, one hour before service time. Reese Funeral Home, Austinville, Va. is in charge of the arrangements.
