Pavlik, Marilyn Clark

Marilyn Clark Pavlik of Blacksburg, Va. passed away on Friday January 20, 2017.

She was preceded in death by her parents James and Colette Clark of Fairview Park Ohio. She is survived by her sister Jeanette Mitchell (Jack); children, Jim (Tina), Heather, Russ (Vanessa), Bill (Barbara); and grandchildren Jenny, Cate, Sam, Melissa, Matthew, Sean and Hunter (Mary Beth).

Marilyn was born in Fairview Park, Ohio and was a graduate of Flora Stone Mather College in Cleveland Ohio. She lived the last 48 years of her life in her adopted hometown of Blacksburg where she enjoyed the mountains, gardening and following her favorite sports teams including her beloved Cleveland Indians. She was an active volunteer for the Head Start Program and the League of Women Voters. Marilyn was a teacher at Blacksburg Middle School for many years and took great joy in watching her students learn and grow. Marilyn was a member of Saint Mary’s Catholic Church in Blacksburg.

A private service was held in her memory on Monday January 23, 2017 officiated by Father John Asare. Donations in Marilyn’s memory may be directed to the charity of your choosing. Arrangements by McCoy Funeral Home, Blacksburg.
