Pauley, Helen Mills

Helen Mills Pauley, age 79, of Christiansburg died, Friday, November 4, 2016, at New River Valley Medical Center. She was born in Winchester, Va. on January 3, 1937 to the late Albert Marion and Bertha Kerns Nicodemus.

She was preceded in death by her husbands, Arnold Mills and James Pauley and an infant son, Richard Barkley. She was a member of Trinity United Methodist Church. Helen worked 39 years feeding children at Montgomery County Public Schools, where many of the children loved her.

She is survived by her daughter, Tammy Mills O’Brien, son and daughter-in-law, Eugene Todd and Kim Mills, grandchildren, Tyler Jones, Ethan and Abby Mills, step sons, Mike and Mark Pauley, brothers and sisters-in-law, Albert Nicodemus, Jr. and wife, Betty, Milton Lee Nicodemus and wife, Susie, special sister, Paulette Gore.

Funeral Services will be conducted Tuesday, November 8, 2016 at 2:00 pm in the McCoy Funeral Home Chapel with the Pastor Russell Shepherd officiating. Interment will follow in the Ross Cemetery, Craig County. The family will receive friends from 4-7:00 pm Monday evening at the McCoy Funeral Home 150 Country Club Dr. SW, Blacksburg.
