Doris Adams Patton, 82, of Pulaski, Va., died on Wednesday, February 2, 2011, at her home. She was born in Wythe County on July 11, 1928, and was the daughter of the late George W. Adams and Etta Kyle Armbrister Adams, of Max Meadows.

She was also preceded in death by her husband, William G. Patton; by brothers, Douglas, Verner and Curtis Adams; and sisters, Sadie Jackson, Roberta Perdue and Laura Edmiston.

Mrs. Patton was a retired employee of Jefferson Mills, Pulaski.

Surviving are her children and spouses, Brenda and Garland Earhart, and Mark and Twila Patton; brother, Bill Adams; grandchildren, Sara Earhart, Lucas Earhart, Caitlin Stroupe, Allen Patton, and John Patton; and many nieces and nephews.

Funeral Services will be held 10 a.m. on Saturday, February 5, 2011, from the Memorial Baptist Church with the Rev. David Lones officiating. Burial will follow in Highland Memory Gardens. Visiting will be held on Friday evening, February 4, 2011, at Stevens Funeral Home where the family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m.

In lieu of flowers, the family wishes memorials be made to the American Diabetes Association , 1701 N. Beauregard St., Alexandria, Va. 22311 or to the charity of one’s choice.
