Pate, Michaela Ann
Michaela (Mickey) Ann Pate, age 75, of Blacksburg peacefully passed away, Thursday, December 5, 2019, at Lewis Gale Hospital-Montgomery. She was born in Port Chester, N.Y. on November 4, 1944 to the late Robert and Michaela Broadhurst Christie. She was preceded by her husband, James (Jim) Pate. She retired as a Registered Nurse from Radford Hospital. Mickey was a loving grandmother who loved animals especially her many horses and dogs. She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Khristi and Dennie Hurst, son, Michael Pate, grandchildren, Dennit, Dewey, and Khristine Hurst, brother, Robert Christie. Per Mickey’s request there will be no services. Arrangements by McCoy Funeral Home, Blacksburg.

We were so saddened to her of this tough horse lady leaving our world. She would give you the shirt off her back if you were a friend and God help you if you were not! May she Rest In Peace reunited with her great love James Pate. We will miss her dearly. Our little neighborhood will never be the same.
