Parker-Janney, Joan H.

Joan H Parker-Janney passed away November 22nd, 2021 at the age of 78. She was retired from Virginia Tech but continued to work at a local Shell convenience store which she really enjoyed until August 2021.

She was preceded in death by her husband Curtis E. Janney; parents, Richard and Lorena Harmon and elder sister Jeanette Wade. She is survived by her son Joseph Parker, daughter in-law Amity Layne, her younger sister Patricia St John and sister in law Kathy Haynes, her mother in law Mary Janney, grandchildren, Dawn Parker, Jonathan Parker and Jessica Taylor, great grandson Elyjah Parker.

The family will receive friends on Wednesday November 24th from 12 to 1pm at Horne Funeral Home, interment will follow at Roselawn Memorial Gardens. The family welcomes donations to cover end of life expenses or donations to St. Jude’s Hospitals in her name, in lieu of flowers.
